Meet The Coaches

Stewart Isaacs

Stewart Isaacs is the Founder/Owner of Helios. Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Stewart is a graduate of Davidson College. He comes from an athletic background and has dedicated his career to aquatics education and coaching in the Charlotte Area. Stewart has worked and coached for local clubs and performance centers, gaining valuable coaching and business experience. In addition to Helios, Stewart serves as the Head Coach of the Lake Norman Charter Swim Team.

Stewart strives to provide authentic learning/training experiences for athletes of all ages. Learning to swim is a valuable life skill that can begin at an early age! Competitively, he values his principles and believes that athletes can learn a lot about themselves and their peers/teammates through athletic experiences and competition.

Jay Burroughs

Jay Burroughs is a local college student at CPCC. He swam competitively for LNC for 4 years, and served as the captain for his senior year as the team finished 2nd in the state. He began swimming for his neighborhood team, Skybrook Storm, 9 years ago where he has learned to be a good swimmer, teammate, leader, and hard worker. He now is the Head Coach for the Skybrook Swim Team during the summer and also runs his own lesson program!
